Service Description

The course runs from 10 am to 12 pm and will be hosted in the lower potting shed. Visit the pottery and spend a couple of hours enjoying the views from our glorious Victorian walled kitchen garden whilst learning how you can use autumn leaves in pottery. You will work with autumn leaves, flowers and foliage sourced directly from the garden, imprinting them directly into your clay and using them for surface decoration. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners and those who want to learn more about the wonderful world of clay and surface decoration. You will have the chance to hand-build a bowl before trying out surface-decorating techniques and adding colour to your pieces. Your work will be transparently glazed after the session and should be ready for collection within 6-8 weeks. The course price includes everything you need including a dedicated workspace, clay, decorating materials, and most importantly, snacks and refreshments throughout the session.
