5 Week Term - Monday Morning

Join us for our Monday morning, 5-week pottery term with Jean Sampson. This course will be running on Mondays, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, from the 23rd February to the 23rd March. The studio is located in a beautiful walled kitchen garden with fabulous views looking out to the Black Mountains - the perfect spot to get some creative inspiration! We keep our class sizes small with a maximum of just four students. Everyone has optimum teacher time, a dedicated wheel space and the chance to become part of our wonderful supportive potting community. Over the term, you have the freedom to learn and develop a variety of pottery techniques including hand-building, wheel throwing, and surface decoration. Jean will guide you through a series of projects and techniques which could include altering thrown pieces, faceting on the wheel, and making composite pieces. There is also plenty of opportunity to explore your interests and gain knowledge from our wonderful ceramic community. The four-week course costs £250 which includes all of the tools and materials you may need including your first 1/2 bag of clay and access to our library of underglazes, slips, oxides, and glazes. There is also the all-important tea, coffee, and biscuits provided each session. There is a small additional charge for firing your pieces.
