Are you interested in using the clay surface as a canvas and as a medium for drawing and monoprinting? In this masterclass Verity will share with you processes that she uses in her own practice. You will learn how to create monoprints on clay slabs using underglaze and coloured slip in order to produce ceramic wall pieces. You will also learn how to layer up these processes and experiment with monoprinting onto slab bowls in order to create beautiful and exciting results. £90 per person

FLOWERS AND CLAY

Spend an afternoon in our Victorian kitchen garden and pottery studio trying out some of the ways we use our flowers. You will get time to explore the kitchen garden, learn how to make decorative tiles using flowers and try out one of the ways we use flowers within ceramics. This workshop is suitable for everyone, we can adapt the activities to cater for all ages and abilities. £55 per person
H-ART WEEK
2nd - 10th September 2023

This year Corisande will be exhibiting alongside Veronica Guest, Clare Keil, Nic Luxton and Danny Thomas. The exhibition will show watercolour paintings and hand made etchings , bentwood sculpture and furniture, willow sculpture and baskets, fabulous chainsaw carvings and delicious pots and vessels. Licensed Restaurant open daily from 11am till early evening. Impromptu, informal dining from four locals with a shared love of food. (Julia – former owner St Johns Place in Hay, James & Emma – former owners Magdalen Restaurant London Bridge and the multi-talented Catherine Bolton). Throughout the week, they’ll be offering a daily, chalkboard menu from the outdoor kitchen at Larchwood studios: simple cooking with provenance set in beautiful woods by the Wye. Alongside natural wines and cider, fresh local beer and homemade cordials. No need to book.

If you are interested in having a go at pottery, our private sessions are a great place to start! Gather a group of family or friends and enjoy a couple of hours in the studio getting messy. We offer throwing, handbuilding and decorating sessions. Send an enquiry with some information about what you woule like to try, who would be attending and a range of dates. We will find the right teacher for your group.
